Team: Communications
The Communications Team is responsible for the promotion of the Atkinson Professional Accounting Association and its respective events. The Team's responsibilities entail the maintenance of the APAA website, as well as its Facebook Group. Furthermore, they are required to create the APAA Promotional Video, The Ledger Magazine, FaceValueBook, promotional materials for upcoming events, and various other media projects. They are also responsible for promotion of the APAA as a whole and coordination within APAA related events including our Community Outreach Initiative.

The APAA is currently recruiting for the following positions for the Communications Team:
Special Events Coordinator
- The Special Events Coordinator's duties include the researching, planning, coordinating, promoting, and execution of APAA related events.
- The primary events are in conjunction with the APAA's Community Outreach Initiative and also include but are not limited to, Employment Fairs, Information Sessions, Fall and Spring Campus Days, Orientations, Annual Accounting Dinner, Annual Spring Networking Night, APAA’s Annual Case Competition, Tabling Events, etc.
- Candidates should possess strong communication skills.
- He/She would report to the Vice-President Communications/Marketing.
- He/She will also be responsible for other tasks delegated by the Vice-President Communications/Marketing and coordinating between the Operations Team.
Media Director
- The Media Director’s duties include assisting in the creation of the APAA’s promotional videos, the biannual magazine, The Ledger, as well FaceValueBook, and various promotional items. The Media Director is to report to the Vice-President Communications.
- Preference will be given to individuals with experience with computer software, such as Adobe Creative Suite: Acrobat Professional, Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
- The Media Director will also be responsible for other tasks delegated by the Vice-President Communications/Marketing.
Marketing Director
- The Marketing Director’s primary duty is to promote the association through various mediums, such as on campus, online, etc. The Marketing Director is also responsible for the creation of the APAA’s promotional videos, as well as various other media projects. The Marketing Director is to report to the Vice-President Communications.
- The Marketing Director should possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills as well as experience in filming and video editing software if applicable.
- The Marketing Director will also be responsible for other tasks delegated by the Vice-President Communications/Marketing.
Publishing Director
- The Publishing Director’s duties are to publish articles for the APAA website, as well as the biannual magazine, The Ledger. The Publishing Director is to report to the Vice-President Communications.
- The Publishing Director is responsible for assisting in the creation of the APAA Promotional Video and our recruiting guide FaceValueBook.
- The Publishing Director must possess strong written and oral skills.
- The Publishing Director will also be responsible for other tasks delegated by the Vice-President Communications/Marketing.
Communications Director
- The Communications Director’s duties are to serve as the webmaster, and create and maintain the club website. He/She is to report to the Vice-President Communications/Marketing.
- The Communications Director should possess experience in Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP), Content Management Systems (CMS), Database Management Systems (DBMS), WordPress, MySQL, and phpMyAdmin.
- The Communications Director will be primarily responsible but not limited to the areas of the website relating to the APAA's News + Events and Job Board sections.
- The Communications Director will also be responsible for other tasks delegated by the Vice-President Communications/Marketing.
