I forgot my username and password. What do I do?

If you have forgotten your username, please contact our Support Team at support@yuapaa.com.

If you have forgotten your password, you may reset is using our forgot password form. You will need to provide your verification code to do so. If you do not remember your verification code, please contact our Support Team at support@yuapaa.com. Once you have provided a valid verification code, a message will be sent to the e-mail address you signed up with, stating your new password. We strongly recommend that individuals change their password once they have received the password reset request e-mail.

Why am I unable to login?

If you are unable to login, first determine the error that is provided when you attempted to login. There may be a few reasons as to why you are unable to login:

The username and/or password provided is incorrect.
We have not received your membership fee, and thus your account is inactive.
You have violated our terms of use.
The system is offline for maintenance.

If you received an e-mail stating your account has been activated, indicating your username and password, please ensure you have correctly keyed in your username and password in the respective fields. Sometimes, copying and pasting the password adds an additional space at the end of the password field, resulting in a failed login attempt.

If you are unable to login, determine if your membership account is active. Individuals who have completed an online application form, but have not submitted their membership fee, will not be able to access the restricted sections of our website. If you have recently submitted your membership fee, please allow up to two (2) business days for your account to be activated.

You may have violated our terms of use, resulting in a temporay or permanent ban from our website. If you would like to determine the status of your account, please contact us at support@yuapaa.com.

Finally, the system may be offline for maintenance. If this is the case, a notification will generally be placed on the login page, indicating that we are are offline for maintenance. If this error is still prevalent after 24 hours, please contact us.

I want to attend an event, but it’s full.

Most of our events are based on a first-come, first-served basis. When an event has reached its maximum capacity, it is usually closed for reservation. However, in some instances, we may still continue to accept reservations as some individuals may cancel before the event date. As such, individuals who reserve a spot after reaching maximum capacity are put on a waiting list.

All individuals will be contacted indicating their reservation status (attending or not attending) once the deadline has passed.

If I am not in the Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies, can I still become a member of the APAA?

Absolutely. The APAA does not place any restrictions in becoming a student member.

Do I have to be a student member to attend APAA events?

Most of our events are limited to APAA student members. As such, individuals would be required to be registered student members. However, we do host a few events where non-registered members can attend, subject to a fee.

Why do I have to pay a membership fee?

The APAA charges a membership fee so that it can cover its costs. These costs range from organizing events to ensuring our website is functional.

Whom may I contact for designation-related questions?

The APAA has several ambassadors from various designation-governing bodies, such as the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario (ICAO), Certified Management Accountants of Ontario (CMA), and Certified General Accountants of Ontario (CGA). You may contact the respective ambassadors by e-mail.

What are the APAA’s office hours?

How will I be notified of upcoming events?

Student members can view a list of upcoming events through our News + Events section. They are also notified by e-mail. Individuals who have not yet registered, can view the recent news section on our Facebook group.

Individuals may also utilize Really Simple Syndication (RSS) Feeds to get even faster access to our content. Most of our sections have separate RSS Feeds within the left-hand sidebar. Learn more about RSS Feeds.
