The CGA designation is achieved by successfully completing assignments and national examinations, passing comprehensive final examinations on all aspects of the program, fulfilling practical work experience requirements of the CGA program of professional studies, and meeting the degree requirement.  The program’s flexibility enables individuals from a variety of academic backgrounds to achieve their CGA designation.

Students who graduate from a CGA Ontario accredited program at a post secondary institution are eligible to enrol in the certification courses of the CGA program of professional studies. This means that a student has one year or less of part-time studies in order to complete the education requirement of the CGA program. Who is CGA Ontario?
An affiliate of CGA Canada, the national body representing more than 73,000 CGAs and students, the Certified General Accountants Ontario is a self-governing body, which grants the exclusive right to the CGA designation and controls the professional standards, conduct and discipline of its more than 20,000 CGAs and 8,000 students in the province of Ontario.

Tracey Baker, CGA, Business Development Manager

Tracey Baker is Business Development Manager for Certified General Accountants of Ontario. She has an undergraduate degree from McMaster University and completed her MBA in 2000 from Wilfrid Laurier University. Her previous roles have been focused on marketing and business development across a range of industries including manufacturing, accounting and law, financial services, and most recently a marketing firm with a mandate to support the advancement of professional women. Through various initiatives and contributions to Atkinson and its students, she is currently responsible for building awareness of the process and career advancement benefits that come with a CGA designation.

Sabrina Darchiville, CGA

The vice president of operational build team at TD Securities, Sabrina is a model CGA and she has taken her skills to great heights. She has been a part of TD Securities for several years and has held increasingly senior roles within the organization.
